Benjamin Lowder is a rising freshman in college with a life-long passion for music of all types. He first played the euphonium/baritone at age eight. Nine and a half years later, he is still playing euphonium as well as tuba, trombone, bass trombone in jazz ensembles, concert bands, and orchestras. Benjamin has participated in various honors ensembles through All-county, Area All-State, and finally, he played second chair tuba in the 2021 NYSSMA All-State symphonic band. Not only is Ben an instrumentalist, but also a composer/arranger who had his arrangement of Shinzou Wo Sasageyo performed by his high school's wind ensemble in addition to numerous other a cappella arrangements performed by his high schools a capella group, the “Tempomentals”. Ben loves performing and making music, he also has a passion for teaching. He enjoys encouraging younger musicians to unlock more of their musical potential and to deepen their appreciation for the art of music. Ben is available for lessons with MKHM this summer.
